About this Book:

The heart and soul of the city, as viewed by Ms. Spivey, is depicted in this collection of over 70, thought provoking, poems. Capturing everything from relationships, both good and bad, to diversity, and a bit of inspiration, where possible. This book boasts "something for everyone", and is sure to bring tears to the eyes, at some point, while offering a sigh of relief at another.

About the Author:

Scarlet Spivey is a single mother of two, residing on the southside of Chicago. Being previously employed by Catholic Charities, (an experience which changed her life for the better), provided her the opportunity to come into contact with a variety of people from different backgrounds. And from each, she found a story that needed to be told. That, along with personal conflicts and finally triumphs, inspired her to write this book. It is her hope that it will inspire others to realize that, regardless of where you are in life, you can make a change. It’s never too late to become that person you’ve always wanted to be…If you want it badly enough.
