About the Author:

Todd Garland started the study abroad experience in the summer of 1999 when he embarked on his journey to Brazil through Rotary International. Upon returning home after his year abroad he created a newsletter for study abroad students around the world. The newsletter took off and soon became the best resource for youth exchange in the world. This book was compiled over the course of three years and is a true account of the exchange experience.
