About this Book:

Don't let the title scare you...it's from a Magritte painting that seemed to influence several of these poems. No bad rip-offs of over-emulated poets, no self-absorbed stories about my pain, hopefully no overblown cliches, either. Just a self-published book of someone whose been writing and teaching poetry for a while. Consider Billy Collins and Carl Dennis as some key influences here.

About the Author:

John Bechtold is a writer and teacher in Amherst, Mass. He is currently in New Zealand conducting grant work and writing.
