The account provides a unique image of Brookfield Township, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, from the 1830s-1920s. The author has spent thousands of hours and several years gathering material for this new two volume, 480 pagee book, combining the use of newspaper accounts, memoirs, photographs, recollections, letters, published and unpublished manuscripts, legal documents and biographies. What he uncovered was a rich history of a community of people who stuggled, suffered, and yet found humor and joy all around them.
