About the Author:

My name is Ron Philipps. I have spent thousands of hours walking the casino floors here in New Mexico, and I also write a monthly column for a gambling publication “Casino Entertainer & Jackpot,” and also participate in a radio show on Saturdays’ from noon to 2:30 PM on KKNS 1310 AM. I have spent thousands of hours walking the casino floors. I have been to Las Vegas about 12 times, however, I visit local casinos daily for lunch and companionship as I have made many friends there. I have interviewed slot managers, players, dealers, security people, manufacturer’s reps, and at one casino I am on a first name basis with the G.M., several assistant casino managers, slot tech manager, etc. I am not a high roller, and would fit the mold of an average player.
