About the Author:

Pastor James Marks has been the Pastor of Bethesda Church Of God In Christ for over 33 years. Him and his lovely wife Shirley have been married for 47 years, and have three children and four grand-children.

Book Review:

Bethesda's Journey is a historical book that was written by Dr. James Marks, Ora Sherrell and Jackie Dussard.  It gives an accurate and historical timeline of our church's journey from a storefront church on Dundee Avenue, to the completion of its new building on Hickory Street.  Think you know all of Bethesda's history?  You will, but only after reading this phenomenal book!  It is filled with untold facts and experiences about our church that was built by the hands of its own Pastor, and members.  Bethesda’s Journey is a must read book by all.  The book supersedes it purpose to uphold the legacy and experience of Bethesda's history.  I loved the book and was deeply touched by the sacrifices that were made by its leaders to fulfill the vision of God.
