Melanie, a career church musician, teaches harp and piano at her music studio located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She enjoys a variety of musical styles and traditions. An avid woodworker, she has built over 60 harps and a number of other types of small instruments, including drums. She enjoys gardening, photography, writing, sewing, art, a variety of crafts, and attending powwows.
Melanie and her husband, John, live in rural Rudolph, Wisconsin. They have three adult children and seven grandchildren. Melanie is a member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
