About this Book: |
Fifty Years of Football is like taking a walk back through time--especially for those who played for Max Spilsbury. Players, fans, and students alike will love reliving what could be described as the toughest yet most rewarding years of ther lives. Max knew how to mix discipline and humor to form a bond that endured past the test of time. Max was working on this book before he passed away in 2001. His goal was to use the proceeds to help fund the scholarship program that was named after him at N.A.U.

Book Review: |
Fifty Years of Football is more than just a few random memories about a coach and his players. Max was one of a kind. Each of his 1000 plus players would have walked through fire for him, and many would argue that they did. The bond that was ultimately formed was unbreakable, as is evident within the pages of this memoir.
