About the Author:

Marthalee Lyman has published cirriculum for high school and college level courses, and written many skits and full length dramas for church presentations. She published The Keeper in 2003 and it is in the third printing. She is currently enrolled at Hope International University completing her Bachelor of Science degree. She is the mother of three adult children and happily married for 35 years. There are six grandchildren to brighten the days. Marthalee also serves as the Corporate Secretary for a thriving construction company and is active in their local church.

Book Review:

This book affectionately called "Spinach" by the author and family menbers is full of good advice for ways to stay healthy and avoid the doctor's office. The first chapter, Your Kitchen ~ Your Pharmacy encourages people to build an arsenal of healthful products and to use what they have on hand to remedy common ailments and problems. Then the author focuses on specific herbs and formulas. Special attention is given to "Harnessing the Mental Component" for happiness and stress reduction. Tips on gardening conclude this fine and funny read. Enjoy!!
