About the Author:

Marilyn McGee Simelton is a servant of God on assignment for the kingdom. She has been ministering to women and children for over 20 years. She serves the Body of Christ at Golden Gate Cathedral as an ordained elder and as an educator at Hanley Elementary. She is married to Troy and they have been blessed with three wonderful children: Mariya, Maria, and Tyler. As a wife, mother and servant, Marilyn recognizes the importance of seeking the Word for life’s challenges. Marilyn is passionate about motivating God’s people to be what they were created to be, do what they were created to do, discover their destiny, pursue their purpose, fulfill their earthly assignment, use their gifts to bring glory to God, and to live a life of faith and prayer with all of life’s processes and challenges.

Book Review:

As the old saying goes, life is not about who you are; it is about whose you are, and whose you are has essentially nothing to do with you and everything to do with God. Your challenge is to get out of the way so God can move in and through you. As God moves in and through you, His purpose for your life is revealed. We must recognize that God has a distinct purpose for each of His children, and He wants you to understand that purpose. In order to accept His purpose, you must understand the connection between His purpose and prayer. Prayer is both divine and human with two responsibilities - God’s responsibility and our responsibility. You cannot have one without the other. “Purpose Prayers Will Work” helps us see our part in the exchange. Marilyn is a committed, focused, and unselfish elder who learns and applies the Biblical principles she learns to her life.
