A compelling story of two ordinary, loving people in their fifties as they battle cancer for five years before finally losing. “We” Consisted of my husband, James Anderson, and myself Mae Belle Anderson. Jim was a tall, robust, slightly balding man — one might say the “picture of health”. Two hundred pounds of “skin, bones, muscle and blood” was distributed evenly over his six-foot athletic frame, He was an outdoorsman who loved camping, fishing, boating and hiking all of his 59 years. He had passed this love on to our two sons, two daughters, five grandchildren as well as hundreds of boys in the Boy Scout troops he had led for some 20 years. His sense of humor gained him a reputation as a practical joker but his pranks were harmless ones.
