The storyof this mother and daughter in rural Vermont is told through their diaries: the 1894 diary of a 14-year old girl, Edith Francena Aldrich, living in Glover, VT and the 1922 diary of her 14-year old daughter, Edith Alexander, also living in Glover, VT. The diaries are annotated with photographs, documents, maps and other images, as well as information about the people, places, and events referenced in the diaries. Diaries are unabridged, and transcriptions are true to original spelling, punctuation and grammar. Published by the Glover Historical Society.

Joan Alexander compiled the annotations for these diaries. Joan lives in Glover, Vermont and is on the board of the Glover Historical Society. Edith Francena Aldrich, the 1894 diarist was her great grandmother and Edith Alexander, the 1922 diarist, her great-aunt. Joan has compiled several family and town history documents and is a teacher at the Irasburg Elementary School. Now that this book is done she can take a bike ride, hoe the garden, and see friends and family again!
