About this Book:

A saga of wild bulls, wild horses, unexplored wilderness, and close encounters with sharks, crocodiles, and the planet's deadliest snakes as the author, a young expatriate from Texas, plunges into the heart of Australian outback adventure. Taken under the wing of the Northern Territory's most outrageous character, the author pursued the dangerous profession of bull catching, capturing wild bulls and buffalos on the open range wilderness of the Northern Territory, not unlike Texas immediately after the Civil War, only the author, in bare feet and worn out cutoffs, used Toyotas instead of horses and threw them down by the tail instead of roping them. Readers will be fascinated by this story filled with the unique places, events, and colorful outback characters that make "Crocodile Dundee" look like an effete buffoon by comparison.

About the Author:

The author now lives with his wife, Peggy, in Leander, Texas where he works as an environmental consultant and is on the board of a faith based organization utilizing a 3600 acre ranch near Marble Falls to provide infrastructure and resources for area ministries. The author first published in Walkabout, an Australian geographic magazine, followed by an article in the New York Zoological magazine, Animal Kingdom, chronicling the author’s World Wildlife Fund research project to determine the status of the Tasmanian Tiger. Since then the author has published in numerous outdoor interest magazines. This is the author’s first book length project.
