About this Book:

These poems came to me at different times in my life over the past thirty-six years. I cannot explain or tell you where they come from. When I was growing up I did not like anything to do with poetry. So, if you think these poems are my doing, they are not. I have actually been embarrassed to tell any one that I wrote poems. These poems seemed to come to me when I think about something strongly. I like to write stuff that rhymes. I hope there is at least one that you will enjoy.

Jerry Wayne Beard. born January 13, 1946, in Hornbeak, Tennessee; in a house about 15 feet square. Retired from General Motors after thirty-six years. Christian fisherman and fisher of men.
