Ann E. Schrag is the daughter of Daniel R. Schrag. She grew up hearing stories about Daniel's life in the Rockies. She considers it a privilege to have the opportunity of recording them in more permament form. She was introduced to Glacier National Park as a child and still considers it one of her favorite vacation destinations.

This book gives the reader a close-up look at three years in the life of Daniel R. Schrag, as he lived them in one of the most scenic areas of the United States. It also gives a glimpse of his close ties with his family back home in Kansas. He would not have chosen to leave home, but since he had no choice, he determined to make the most of his situation. His experiences in Glacier National Park increased his faith in the awesome Creator and benefited him for the rest of his life.
