About the Author: |
|
David Alan Johnson has been an active military contractor since 1986. Before that he was a US Army Paratrooper whose job description included words like rifleman, demolitions, anti-armor, and prisoner interrogation.
As a contractor he has worked for the Department of State, the Department of Defense, major oil companies, and other US government agencies. During that time he made cargo airdrops, delivered troops, instructed foreign pilots, and flew surveillance aircraft in conflicts in Central America, Africa, and South America.
These experiences are the basis for his books about a little-known world--telling of the life and flavor of being a contractor.
He currently splits his time between flying a surveillance aircraft in South America and enjoying his time off with his wife and two cats in Austin, Texas.
