About this Book:

Utilizing brain wave technology to chart expanded consciousness, Brain States Mastery parallels and recreates the author’s journey in the search for understanding both scientifically and experientially the nature of the brain states through which we ultimately discover our ultimate, spiritual Truth. The territory of brain states is defined in EEG brain wave terms, using a map with three zones: the Hypo-aroused Brain State, the Subjective Brain State, and the Hyper-aroused Brain State. The first and last of these zones are Optimal Experience Brain States, of which we may be only dimly aware, since we are accustomed to experiencing fluctuations in brain states from the limited vantage point of the one monolithic, ordinary Subjective Brain State. As we confront catastrophic change from global warming, developing self-mastery over brain states becomes a critical skill every human being will need. This book points to who we can become: living in harmony with the environment and ourselves.

About the Author:

It is not just his two books on brain waves that qualify Brian Morrissey to address the issues of brain waves and consciousness, but the triple set of pursuits that these books reflect. One is his lifelong career as educator, educational consultant, and accelerated learning practitioner, which included graduate certification in TESOL from George Mason Univ. and the pioneering of Accelerated English Language Learning in the US and Chile. A second is his study and EEG research of brain states for health and wellness, education, and optimal performance purposes. He was certified in Brain Wave (EEG) Neurofeedback from the Stens Corporation in October 2002. The third is his long-time participation and training in the Arica School of Knowledge (see www.arica.org).
