Solving a Mystery and Experiencing History- the combination for an exciting vacation!
While traveling through upstate New York, ten-year-old Jen Armstrong and her cousins eight-year-old Mikey and ten-year-old Jason decide to visit Fort William Henry where the cousins quickly stumble across a mystery. It appears that someone does not want the college students who are working on an archeology dig to uncover any artifacts.
One of the people involved in the dig may be responsible for the sabotage. As the cousins learn about the fort’s history, they must attempt to find out who is responsible for the problems with the dig and why. Finally, they must come up with a plan to trap the guilty person.

Afton Lisette Newton, who resides in South Haven, MI near Lake Michigan, graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with degree emphases in History and Sociology. Newton is also an accomplished horsewoman who earned many championships on a state, regional and national level in her fourteen years of showing on the Pony of the Americas show circuit. While achieving these goals, Newton had the opportunity to personally visit many historical sites and to meet different people across the country. Her fifteen year involvement with the 4-H club also provided her with a better understanding of people, places and things. Being homeschooled from from 6th through 12th grade gave the author the opportunity to pursue her many interests.
