ISBN, Library of Congress Catalog Card Number, and ISSN Placement Examples

The ISBN and the EAN Barcode must be on the back cover of your book. Exact placement is not critical. If you utilize one of our standard covers, we will make the placement for you. (But you must supply us with the image containing your Barcode.) An example cover with an ISBN/EAN Barcode is shown at the right.

The ISBN number also should be placed on the Copyright page of your book along with the Library of Congress Catalog Card Number and the ISSN number. None of these numbers are required for publishing your book. You can obtain none, one, two, or all three of these numbers, depending on your needs. The Copyright page is typically on the back of the Title page. The contents of a sample Copyright page are shown at the right. The exact wording is, of course, up to you.
