When God “calls” us into His ministry, our life changes dramatically. We soon realize that we are no longer the “captain of our own ship”. The events of our lives become focused on the will of God.
To the non-Christians this probably sounds rather alien. But to those of us who have laid claim to the saving grace of God, it’s quite comprehensible. He saves us, he “calls” us; if we answer, his leadership prepares us for special service.
God is no discriminator as to age. If he calls us in our 60’s. etc., he will lead us. This is what this book is about. In my case, thus far it has been to a United Methodist church at Matecumbe located in Islamorada within the Florida Keys.
It is an account of the growth of a church and their pastor. In a way it was a reciprocity of love within the process of seeking to do God’s will.
Both pastor and congregation begin to learn the depth of the meaning found within 2 Corinthians 12:9, “And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
