About the Author:

Kim is the 1st daughter of Belizean businessman, late Linty Neal, Jr. & Teresa Castillo, 2nd of 6 children. After attending St. Catherine's Academy then St. John's Junior College, Kim immigrated to the United States to pursue her educational and career goals. She lived in Washington, DC for a year, where she worked with former Ambassador Edward Laing. Kim later moved to Los Angeles, then to Houston, TX. She graduated from the University of Southern California, where she majored in Accounting & Finance. Kim has a daughter, Kharifa, an avid painter and writer. Kharifa started painting at 7 years. Her works were showcased at the Children's Festival of Arts in Belize in 1998. Today, Kharifa is married to Ian Tan and works as a Speech Language Pathologist at UCLA Early Childhood Partial Hospitalization Program in Los Angeles. Kim has two sons–Alsyaiah (12) and Aaden (8). She is married to Aaron Bowen of Dangriga, Stann Creek District.

Kruffy Puz:Solving Belize-Dis Dah Belize is the 2nd compilation of a long-awaited collection of interesting and historical facts about Belize, presented by my sister, Kim. I never would have imagined representing Belize in crossword puzzles. But that is Kim’s forte. While everyone else is playing Candy Crush or watching TV, Kim usually had couple crossword books with her. Her bathroom “reads” are crossword puzzles. There were many late-night phone conversations between Kim and I as we searched the far recesses of our minds, drawing out fond memories of our childhood in Belize. In Dis Dah Belize, like in the first compilation, Kim has included puzzles to grasp the interest by the topics–juicy mangoes, delectable dishes, thought-provoking towns – in varying degrees of difficulty. Interspersing the puzzles with tidbit write-ups on Belize was genius! These serve as a reminder to Belizeans, and provide insight to non-Belizeans, of how life was in our little piece of Paradise.
