About this Book: |
Vanishing Towns of Rural Georgia highlights 14 Georgia towns that have seen their glory days come and go. Each town has its story chronicled with anecdotes, facts, and photography. Teen author, Andy Kite, invites you to share his love of the rural South through this exploration into Georgia's almost forgotten past.

About the Author: |
Andy Kite has lived his entire life in Georgia. As a young boy his parents took him on numerous trips across the state, often taking the back roads instead of crowded highways. He often imaged what must have taken place in the small now-decaying towns along the way. At age 16, Andy did the research to find out. What resulted was a book entirely written, photographed, and put together by a young 16-year old.

Book Review: |
"Anyone who has traveled Georgia's rural backroads will find this book by photographer/writer Andy Kite both intriguing and revealing. It is a delightful journey through history and mystery. Readers who haven't traveled backroads will be inspired to do so." _ Jim Minter, former Editor, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
